Thanks to Youtube and Google Video, I have been able to bask in the sun of a wonderful comedy.

Little Mosque on the Prairie, which is now in its second season, will for sure hit your funny bone, but it will also hit a raw nerve; Muslims in North America after September 11th.

One resented thing in the Arab mentality is The in-built and deep concept of women’s unproductivity. The idea that women can’t live without male guardianship in every aspect of their life is really appalling. The wide- spread (male chauvinism) is forming an image that women are inferior which is hopelessly false and unfair.

Charged descriptions of what the world is going through information wise are mushrooming. Grouching with such labels as “information explosion “ , “information overload “ , “information revolution “ , and “information flood “ will not help tackle the situation. it will only give an impression that this is an infliction humanity has to go through.

A black vertical cloud, that's how they see me. A talking walking dark black cloud, black all year round.

I contemplate June's clear sky, hoping for salvation. I descend the usual three yellow steps of the bus, take exactly 11 heavy steps to reach John's grocery shop.

"Why doesn't he get someone to help him with the bagging?" I often wonder. Someone who would not insist on putting my groceries in black bags claiming that he ran out of the other bags today, someone who tells me that I can't have my fabric environment-friendly bag with me inside his shop, someone who would talk to me and make some eye contact.

Why don't I find another place to shop? I don't know! I guess I'm too tired and lazy to take extra steps, or too self-sorry to face a worse version of John somewhere else.

I'm now used to it, that sob that tethers my throat is not there anymore, I don't want to cry. What happens is a common place now. Well, he even almost smiled when I told him happy birthday.

My beauty or even my ugliness is my very own concern. Why? Well such criteria as external, limited ,and never lasting beauty is so vulnerable ,so blemished .Why should women be judged on their appearances since beauty can be obtained easily ;an ugly woman can be just gorgeous nowadays. How about looking at concepts of a different perspective? Not all women can be effective, strong and present in today’s life; there are no base creams enabling women to be stronger, there are no lipsticks turning women into good speakers.

In 1627 Thomas Middleton said “Man is never too old to learn” , in the 20th century Thomas Edison said ,”success is 1 percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration “. Middleton was talking about people of all levels and statuses since the right to learn is not elitist, while Addison was talking about a particular type of people: successful people.
